Seiko - The quality has gone downhill
Twenty years ago, I bought my husband a Seiko kinetic watch. He loved it, never had any trouble with it.
I purchased him a new Seiko kinetic watch in January, 2019. This is the second time the watch showed that it was fully charged, but for some reason, it stopped working. I paid $650 for this watch. The first time it happened, I called Seiko about getting it covered under warranty.
I was told that it didnโt have a warranty because I didnโt purchase the watch from an authorized Seiko Dealer. I thought all Seiko watches came with a warranty no matter where you purchased it. Our first experience with a Seiko watch would be rated 10, excellent quality. The new watch thatโs less than a year old, rating would be a 0.
Seikoโs quality of watches has gone down hill. I wonโt ever buy another Seiko watch again after our experience with this one.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
Monetary Loss: $650.
Preferred solution: Full refund.

It's a small price to pay. Compared to being left out in the cold with nothing of value for your money.
