Seiko cheaps out big time!
I called the customer service department of Sekio and after an extended wait time was informed that printed instructions exist. They refused to send me a booklet by claiming it was the problem of the point of purchase merchant.
I again spent about 25 minutes on hold in order to speak with a representative of the retail merchant.I have to say they were polite and confirmed what I suspected all along. No instructions manual is supplied with the watches and they ship them as they are received.
This means two things to me first being that the Seiko representative I spoke with just effortlessly lied to me and secondly they are a bunch of cheap SOB's who couldn't care less. Last time I do business with Seiko!

Kenetic watches don't have a spring mechanism. "Winding" isn't possible.
The watch battery is charged by kenetic (moving) energy. This happens by wearing the watch and moving throughout the day - or my gently shaking the watch from side to side.
